The MAGMA meeting for May will be held on the third Saturday of the month instead of the normal second Saturday. This came about due to the number of members planning on attending the craft beer taste at the I-X Center in Cleveland.

Therefore the meeting will be Saturday, the 19th, at Jared Channell's house. I will be e-mailing members and updating this site with more info when I return from Florida.
The 3rd annual Golden String Beer, Wine, Chocolate & Peppers Taste will be held on Saturday, the 14th of April. The proceeds from this benefit event go to Golden String Radio. Golden String Radio is an online radio station run by adults with disabilities.

The date of this event coincides with our regularly scheduled meeting for April. As was decided by the membership at the last meeting we will be attending the Golden String Benefit in lieu of our April meeting.

The unique thing about this beer and wine taste is that all of the beer and wine is homemade!

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your brewing and/or wine making skills. If you bring beer or wine (or cider and/or mead) for people to sample you get in for free and are able to sample everybody else's products.

If you don't have anything for people to taste the admission is only $15.00 per person. A lot cheaper than any other beer or wine taste you will ever go to!

Please attend this worthwhile event - you will not be sorry!

The Golden String Beer & Wine Taste will be held at:

St. Matthias Father Snock Center
2800 Shady Run Road
Youngstown, Ohio 44502

Doors open at 7:00 PM and the event runs until 11:00 PM.

Hello,

I have a close friend who has a account with Country Malt Group, he is willing to order for us. Right now he is currently working on getting me a price list that will include grains, hops, chemicals and other items. This is a great chance to save a lot of money.

As I get new information I will post it here but as of now, if we can purchase 40 bags the shipping will be cheaper because if we purchase say 30 bags we still pay a 40 bag shipping charge.

I work for a company who has a loading dock and forklift so that will also drop the shipping charge and it will be a easy way to unload.

I will bring this topic up at the next brew club meeting but in the mean time once i get pricing I will give it to all interested. If you know you will be purchasing grain, please post in this thread how many bags you would like and I will keep track of it all.

I would like to get this order placed by mid/late August and receive by end of August.

Contact me at Dave@crowescabinets.com if you have any other questions.

Thanks.
